Report a correction
Response window: 1 to 2 business days
Reports enter a tracked review queue and are typically reviewed within 1 to 2 business days. A report does not silently overwrite published history.
How correction reviews work
Include the exact page address and identify the statement that may be inaccurate or out of date. A public, authoritative source helps us verify the report efficiently. Useful sources include government agencies, licensing boards, utility programs, manufacturers, and original research. Please explain what the source supports instead of sending a link without context.
Our team checks the cited passage against the source, the page's publication history, and any related pages that may contain the same claim. If a change is warranted, we update the affected content and retain the editorial record. Some reports need additional research or clarification, so the initial response window is not a guarantee that every review will be completed in that time. We may contact the reporter when the cited evidence does not clearly identify the claim.
This form is for factual corrections to published content. Questions about a home service request belong on the contact page, while access, deletion, and opt-out requests should use the privacy request process. Do not include sensitive personal, financial, medical, or account information in a correction report.
Guides may contain national planning information alongside state or city details. When reporting a local rule, identify the jurisdiction and effective date because requirements can differ between neighboring municipalities.
